Since the widespread application of zinc oxide arresters in China's power system, numerous accidents have occurred, some of which have caused prolonged power outages and severe damage to other large-scale power equipment, resulting in significant property losses. Comprehensive statistics show that the failure rate of both domestic and imported arresters exceeds several thousandths, with the main causes being quality issues such as poor sealing, moisture ingress leading to arrester damage, subpar valve quality, unreasonable parameter design, poor pollution performance, and inadequate voltage distribution performance. Additionally, improper product selection, low rated voltage of arresters, and high charging rate can lead to increased leakage current under continuous operating voltage, causing arrester damage. For magnetic-blow arresters, the degradation of shunt resistors and moisture ingress can also increase conduction current, leading to arrester damage.
The ZZG-JCQ type arrester operation detector is designed for online monitoring of arrester leakage current and action counts. It can record the number of arrester actions and leakage current of the online operation detector, thereby enabling early detection of potential hazards and preventing accidents.
The monitor mainly consists of a signal input circuit, current measurement circuit, discharge counting circuit, and protection circuit. Under normal circumstances, the leakage current of the surge arrester is directly indicated by the ammeter, with a measurement range of 0~2mA or 0~5mA. The ammeter uses color scales to mark the operating area of the surge arrester's leakage current, greatly facilitating users in judging the operating status of the surge arrester.
Green: Indicates that the measured leakage current is within the normal operating current range of the surge arrester, and the surge arrester is operating normally.
Yellow: Indicates that the measured leakage current is outside the normal operating current range of the surge arrester, and the line and surge arrester need to be inspected or replaced.
Note:
When the range exceeds the green area, the counter grounding protection device will start working, and the corresponding reading will be less than the actual value.
When the leakage current exceeds the measurement range, the over-range indicator light will illuminate.
