Insulators are special insulating components that play a crucial role in overhead power transmission lines. In the early days, insulators were mainly used on utility poles. Over time, they evolved to be used at the ends of high-voltage transmission towers, where multiple disc-shaped insulators are hung to increase the creepage distance. They are typically made of glass or ceramic and are called insulators. Insulators should not fail due to various electromechanical stresses caused by changes in environmental and electrical load conditions; otherwise, they will not function effectively, which can damage the entire line's usage and operational lifespan.
High-voltage insulators refer to insulators used in high-voltage and extra-high-voltage overhead transmission lines and substations. To meet the needs of different voltage levels, they are usually composed of different numbers of the same type of individual insulators to form an insulator string or multi-section insulating pillars.
High-voltage composite hollow insulators consist of three main components: the insulating cylinder, the injection string, and the flange. Although they may seem simple, their manufacturing process is quite complex. The principle is that the injection string is made in a circular shape, and high-voltage components are fixed on the insulator to increase the creepage distance, thereby achieving high-voltage insulation.
Usage conditions:
1. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use;
2. Ambient temperature range from -40°C to +40°C;
3. Altitude not exceeding 3000 meters (for porcelain bushing type, not exceeding 1000 meters);
4. Power supply frequency not less than 48Hz and not more than 62Hz;
5. The power frequency voltage continuously applied between the terminals of 'ZJ-10Q/65-140' shall not exceed the continuous operating voltage of 'ZJ-10Q/65-140';
6. Areas with seismic intensity of degree 8 or lower;
7. Maximum wind speed not exceeding 35 m/s.
